I’ve forgotten and remembered at least 4 times this offseason.

The timing of his signing was:

Oh Celtics got Mike Conley, that’s interesting.

Omg Celtics got Mitchell Robinson that’s perfect, let’s gooooo.

Wait we traded Jaylen to the 76ers for Paul George?

All on the same day. Easy to forget about the Conley part lol

Yeah people are writing him off as a bench warmer, but he’ll probably have a reasonably sized role.

He played 18mpg last season over ~50 games. When we had Blake Griffin he played 14mpg over ~40 games.

I think that sort of range is what we should expect.

I really wish Brad was just honest once in a press conference lol. He just bites his tongue and deflects and does non answers. But Brad thinks we got way better and thinks all the reporters are morons and he just can’t say that publicly. He’s not going to go on a big diatribe about advanced analytics and ways players can help winning without just shooting a lot, but I’m sure he would like to.

Yeah, a lot of fans and media aren’t reading between the lines. And I agree with the sentiment that this team is going to be awesome. But Brad can’t stand at a press conference and directly say he thinks the team improved by trading Jaylen. That would go all over social media and get back to Jaylen and the 76ers and only add fuel to the fire. He can believe the roster is better without saying it that bluntly in public.
