I think it’s safe to say that people who lead normal careers can’t really understand the kind of relationship you develop with someone doing this kind of thing together at this level for so long. There aren’t many great analogues since there’s not many great analogues for having professional sports be your career and drive in life. It’s going to be different from you and your favorite coworker who have both been around for 10 years. But it’s also obviously going to be different from you and your best friend of 10 years.

They’re both such hard workers when it comes to working out/improving their games. There’s no way there’s not mutual respect.

And they both had to deal with the “Where’s Banner 18?” narrative until 2024

yea im work friends with a lot of the people in my company, we respect each others work and collab a lot on projects, but we just dont hangout after work at all because different personalities and stuff. if im moving companies and these guys wants to come over i would definitely reference them, but as personal friends probably not lol

Pretty much. Some shots have been given by both sides though in between the lines as well. At the end of the day it’s all love though. Regardless of their relationship though brown was out the door anyway

I only played ball competitively in high school and probably only 50 varsity games, but the people who went through those struggles and victories with me are brothers for life.

I can’t imagine what it must be like for these two, being the top guys in a huge market over about a thousand games and having reachedthe mountaintop. Has to be a ton of respect and appreciation among them.

Brown is single with no Kids and seems to spend a lot of his time doing a number of different business, philanthropic, and community ventures where he is in the spotlight. If you just look at it from an off the court angle I wouldn’t expect them to spend a ton of time together
