From the comments re: JT & JB and their relationship, you’re all weird. Co-workers are rarely best buds, you see too much of them day to day as it is and these 2 are very different people. They were professional co-workers and good teammates and that’s it and that’s fine and who the hell cares.
Them not being tight might have been one of the main reasons Brown got traded, so in that context it’s pretty fair to care

In other words, you’re only fooling yourself if you actually believe JB+JT not being bestest buddies had anything to do with it and who the hell cares.
If Tatum actually wanted to play with Brown he’d still be in their team. Not saying they need to be best buddies or even friends at all, but the relationship of star players clearly matters for the team - Tatum was clearly okay with not playing with Brown anymore on some level
Brother, I do appreciate the soap opera occasionally, but this was literally done for much different reasons.
They could only keep one, they chose JB, got a very mid return unfortunately and that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
Bostons FO is ruthless, but effective. This could be a move that saved a possibly quite long period of serious contention that starts in 2 years. Maybe even as good as our previous one, and in an era where parity reigns supreme. I miss JB so much but we’ll see what happens.
Those guys are like brothers. I don’t think the issue was ever on Tatum’s side. Tatum is a professional and saw the value of his sidekick. It very clearly was that Brown was jealous of his younger brother. Any conflict was coming from that end. The front office saw it and that’s the core reason they gave away Brown for peanuts.
