Same, the wings aren’t my cup of tea and i’ve been using the same pair of pets for years. Honestly i’m most hyped about the Helmet Attachment and the Portal although i’m really loving the 36⁄40 challenge Portal from Poe1 3.29 right now.

All the games that do the preregistration thing somehow always reach the full rewards lol. But yeah if at the current pace no way they reaching 4 mil by 1.0
They’ve reached first 1m after 26 days, there are 107 days for it. This is exactly on the pace to reach 4m just a few days before release. Watch it magically continue at this pace, how convenient.

It absolutely has. I was seeing 1.0 ads for a week on Youtube after they announced the December 11th date.

More often than not it is, because it’s better for marketing. Like if it reaches its goal in a week, it was a waste because now there’s no more reason for people to talk about it. If it’s nearly there when release is right around the corner, people are going to promote it real hard just because time is almost up. Slow and steady climb with big boosts here and there for events.
If stuff like this worked as advertised, people would set up bots and it’d be done in no time at all because it’s not like they have serious verification systems in place.
It’s a merchandise thing too. After ExileCon we should see an ultra-rapid rise in registrations. From a marketing and strategy standpoint, one week before launch is a good time to release the real data on total registrations. They are certainly holding the real numbers until close to release
I think we’ll get there once Exilcon hits and they fire up the inevitable marketing blitz that will follow.

They will never have a PR failure and say “Oh well, not enough people want to play this game so you’re not getting the rewards”. Trust me, they’ll slowly and magically creep up to the required amount shortly before release.
I expect this to be reached or rigged. It ain’t good look to put reward, people sign up and not getting it.

There is no world in which they don’t hit these goals. Even if they have to lie about it, I cannot imagine a marketing department willing to risk this kind of promotion failing.
I don’t think there has ever been a game in the history of live service gaming that did preregistration rewards that weren’t all magically hit. That’d just be bad marketing.
I’d assume they wouldn’t even lie about it. It’s a free win to just say “we didn’t hit our goals but we’re giving all this cool stuff to everyone for free anyway”

I’m in my phone and that website is trash on phone. Why do I need to register for something as a current player already?
Because they want your e-mail for marketing purposes, but also because its easier to get people to just sign up to a simple mailing list than require them to create a new account for something they may or may not want to play.
This is mainly to remind new players that the game exists closer to its release

I cant even register because my adblock is preventing it. If uBlock is blocking it, then there are larger issues that need addressed because its literally just sending my email to them. Who else are they sending it to?

Are you sure it’s that? I’m using both uBlock Origin and ABP on Firefox, and I have no issue registering.

If you want the cosmetics you have to register and confirm the email.
The cosmetic rewards will only be handed over to those who register.

Partially a head count if I am being objective. As the people who are playing PoE1 aren’t guaranteed to be interested in PoE2, and the people who played PoE2 EA aren’t guaranteed to be interested in the full release. So this can act like a filter for counting people who do plan to play the release.

It isn’t 4 million, it’s just presented that way to make you think it is. 1m is just milestone one, 2m is milestone two etc. This way they can just fake that they’re hit and stay on the right side of the law.

I have to be honest I’m no longer pumped for the release. I may just play WoW forever instead of playing PoE2 because the end game has been so underwhelming and playing the campaign so many times feels terrible. The game is in a really bad spot right now.

I think once the rewards are locked in, the community should be able to vote to vaal or not to vaal them right here on reddit. We can either get a better hidden reward, stay the same or it gets downgraded. The thing should be streamed live with an open source spin-to-win thingy with transparent weights so we know we degens are not getting tricked. I wont get fooled with a 100% guaranteed upgrade. Open stream, spin the wheel, show results, close the stream. No chit chatting
