im kinda of new the to game, wat is this red bar that gets filled wen im attacking
one of the several things the ui does a poor job explaining: rage
on the other side you have a yellow bar for stun threshold btw
TIL about the stun threshold indicator lol
You’re telling me that is not a binary indicator? /s
0 - you’re alive (probably);
1 - you’re about to die
Only learnt about this. 1k hours into the game.
Sorta, it’s specifically heavy stun buildup. Stun threshold itself doesn’t have an indicator.
Stun threshold doesn’t even have a damn tooltip value lol
I play since 0.1 and never noticed it.
It only matters if you use a shield or skills that expose you to Heavy Stun. Normally the player can only be Light Stunned, and that’s a per-attack check rather than a bar to fill.
THATS RAGE?
I put rage build up on my bell and was wondering why it didn’t show up in rhe buffs section of the hud.
It also shows the values above your mana globe
I still don’t understand why Rage and Energy Shield have worse visual clarity than they do in PoE 1…
you equip a thing that says you gain rage, this new red (the color associated with rage) bar starts filling up. idt it’s too much to expect the neurons to fire up a little and make that connection
you are the only 1 out of 45 people who got it right and you got downvoted, i love reddit, i had a helm that gave me rage per hit, and thats where it came from
They were being rude and snide explaining what is clearly an obtuse UI element (as evidenced by the people who had no idea there was a stun indicator, including myself after over 1k hours).
Also, there are countless top-level comments explaining the mechanic posted BEFORE their response.
Why twist things? Sorry this triggered such a response but damn it’s just such an odd response to back them up :|
More red = you attack more. That meter is called Rage (if you want to find ways to boost this effect), and some skills use rage.
i also have a support gem called rage, do they work together or anything?
Yes, your rage support gem is probably your source of it this early on. As others said, there are many ways to build rage, either inherently in skills (bear form of talismans) or support gems (like you’re using), and even the passive tree or jewels (which show up starting in Act 2). Definitely a good damage booster to keep throughout for melee.
i had that before and i added the rage gem after it, the rage from the gem appears above the mana bar wen i attack enemies
Rage support generates rage on a specific skill
Rage passives generate rage for all applicable skills
And the spirit gem, eternal rage, constantly generates rage
Those are the basics but there are other unique ways to generate rage
That support gem is probably what’s making you gain rage in the first place. The other sources of rage are unique items and passives in the tree.
You might want to check the wiki for details https://www.poe2wiki.net/wiki/Rage
Rage boosts your attack damage, not attack speed. Just so OP knows.
Oops you are right, I made an edit.
tnx!
It’s rage, it gives you a multiplier to your attack damage the more you have. There are various ways to increase the maximum. Some skills give you rage built in, for others you can socket the rage support gem in the skill. There are also some sources on the passive tree and as mods on jewels or unique items.
Rage, you can enable the health, mana and rage numbers in the UI options if that makes it easier for you 👍🏻
Rage is fun because instead of the standard 15% “increased” on your passive tree which slowly dials up your damage, rage is 30% “more” meaning whatever damage you would have had at that moment is now multiplied by 1.3.
And you can juice it with passive nodes and spirit skills. It’s a multiplier of all your damage, so don’t ignore it!
Yes imagine your damage as Base x Increased x More, even if that’s not 100% accurate. This also sort of works with crits, where base crit chance x increased crit x crit damage multi.

I have never noticed that beforeWow 😮
It’s Rage. Bar on the left side by your health is Stun Meter.
You can go into the options menu to have your health, mana, rage, and remaining spirit levels shown as numbers on the right side if you wish.
shows how much of a rageholic you are becoming
Rage
It’s unbridled rage!
Raaaaaaaaaage
🙂>😠>😡>🤬
Anger. When full, hulk smash
That’s your Fun ™️ meter
I’m 600 hours in… I have no clue what that’s for hope that helps
I’ve been playing this since early access was available. I have never noticed those bars. Learn something new every day I guess.

Go into settings and scroll through the UI section, and there’s a ton of options you should turn on.
Things like, HP, mana, rage, spirit numbers,
Your HP bar, teammate hp bar, enemy up bar, map opacity terrain opacity just to name a few.
Everyone should have all of these one. There’s no reason to have it off
i know you just trying to get an easy answer but I pasted your image in chatgpt and had the answer in 5 seconds. just saying.
Yep — the bar you circled is your Rage meter in Path of Exile 2. It fills with red as you generate Rage, and the current PC UI places it just above the skill bar next to the mana globe. Steam Community
In your screenshot, you have some Rage accumulated, but you’re not at maximum.
Rage generally builds from skills/passives/items that grant Rage, and it boosts your attack damage while you have it. If you tell me what build you’re playing here, I can explain exactly what is generating your Rage and whether you should be building around it.
Get your slop out of here and have a little empathy
i dont trust chat gpt, i prefer to talk to people, altho most of you are unmannered swines
