had forgotten the gate shield? always “awe” me by either seeing this dropped or in rituals
Doomgate is actually pretty good if you have a good roll until you can buy/craft a high tier rare shield. I tend to use it when leveling and early mapping on Titan.
Chernoborgs is a really good shield, the other two not so much
Every time I get a new unique I’ve never seen, I’m never shocked to find it’s 1 god damn exalt.
This league has provided me with mountains of trash and not much more.
Would be fine if it game me enough currency to upgrade the trash, but even the few pieces I have upgraded, aren’t selling.

Pick two and you’ll end up with a poe2 unique, ish. Pick three and it’s boring in the long run.

runeforged was a good start toward making alternative versions of uniques at higher item levels to make them useful, I wish they would lean into that more

This is a major flaw with uniques. The art team did amazing designing a majority of them, yet most end up being placed is stash tabs or broken down for currency.
The fire one is not completely useless just not top metals

HARD agree. That shield that opens up on block is so amazingly wasted.
Would be great if they made more of them at least magically useful.
I use the middle one for trial of the sekemas. You can just run through all the flames with it up.

Dude, the one on the far right has a special animation where it unfolds to show itself to the enemies affected by its ability. Should be SO much better for how cool it is.
I always wish I could make things work for some of the really spectacular unique chest pieces. Sadly no such build…
Why not let us use the unique skins as transmog? Hell I’d buy them as mtx for a few of those unused ones
You can (but don’t) buy single use skin transfers between items. Like it’s only good for 1 use on 1 specific item. Replacing the equipped item with another, or just playing a new season means $$$ totally wasted.
I thought they mentioned at one point eventually adding a permanent paid transmog option…but I have no idea when they will implement it, or if I just misunderstood something along the way.
I was excited when they announced that they we can runeforge unique items so we can use it on later levels, but I feel like it is still not enough.

The one on the right is Window to Paradise with supercool animation when you raise to block it open the window exactly like it name, shining outward.

Chernoborgs helped me a ton with my explosive spear build
I skin transferred the window of paradise to my resonating shield titan. It opening up while resonating shield was so damn cool. That build was so satisfying
Yeah… we should nerf them just in case while we figure out what to do about this.
put them on your second weapon loadout for cool MTX
Been using that Window to Heavens to apply exposure before rake hit apply bleed that does fire damage with original sin, works well, dont think it’ll be worth keeping into maps tho

Gear drops in this game are terrible to begin with. No excitement whatsoever to getting currency
There has to be a way to have certain unique stats stay the same, but find more ways to ‘upgrade’ a particular unique, so it’s even somewhat competitive with a nicely rolled BiS rare.
Those poor artists never see their work in-game.. and none of these items are low poly by the slightest!

Nah brother the one on the far left will jump your dps big time if invested hard with fire. I did a fire/ancestral boosted slam titan in 0.5 and that shield was sick AF for me.
I really love the shield on the right. It’s so cool when you block, the thing opens up.
